I am forever awed and amazed at the colors, textures and subtle nuances that define this land.  My observation of the natural world informs any subject that I choose to paint.  I grew up as a fourth generation farm kid and learned to respect and conserve, with an eye to the future.  Capturing the beauty of the landscape is the legacy I hope to leave.  The unsettling trend toward the scarring and encroachment of our landscape in the name of recreation and development is disheartening.  It is my hope to capture the wild beauty of our open spaces before they become only a distant memory.
