https://crookedlinestudio.com/classesAbstract Beginnings – a one day workshop by Connie Herberg Abstraction and design form the beginning processes of a creative endeavor. Understanding the basic principles of design and abstraction, an artist builds their art to its finished form, whatever that may be. Through this class we will take a look at masterful design concepts and exercise our own designs using markers, acrylic paint and various other mark making materials, as we dig into some fun ways to understand and experience abstraction. The end project will be an 12x16 abstract design using the practice ideas to create a unique finished piece. (Your final piece will NOT look like either of the photos shown!) You may bring your own supplies (we will send you a list) or you can use materials provided by the studio for an additional fee. All experience levels welcome. NOTE – even though Connie is primarily an oil painter, she will be using only acrylic paints for this workshop.
